Jet Stream Systems Inc, located in Wichita, Kansas, is the industry's Premier Technology Services Distributor for physical security hardware, software and IP products. Jet Stream is also recognized as the leader of high value solutions for our customers.

We are looking for a Business Development Manager to work out of our Wichita location that would be responsible for one of our regional areas. This position would be responsible for all aspects of sales of the Jet Stream opportunity and portfolio of products to current and prospective resale Partners. This position will work closely with our marketing department and technical specialist team. Responsibilities include creating a proactive sales function to optimize revenue opportunities and growth from new and existing sales partners, on-boarding and stewarding of sales partners, sales of enhanced services, and other opportunities as identified. This assignment is a quota-bearing sales and sales management position with complete responsibility for achieving 100% of annual targets for assigned Sales Partners.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: .Essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  1. Achieve monthly/annual targets for assigned Sales Partners quotes, orders submitted, net billings, gross commissions, and gross profits.

  2. Actively manage and successfully grow assigned Sales Partner’s revenue bases.

  3. Actively market to potential partners and maintain build relationships with existing Sales Partners.

  4. Actively engage existing assigned base of “core” sales partners in pursuit of maximum base revenue performance.

  5. On-board assigned new sales partners and steward them through 2nd year to achieve targets.

  6. Developing assigned base to reach compliance.

  7. Drives attendance to events and attends events in region, both online and on-site.

  8. Drive new sales revenues from our enhanced services portfolio.

  9. Utilize problem-solving skills to help assigned Sales Partners resolve issues and escalations.

  10. True customer service mentality and orientation to help build mindshare with assigned Sales Partners through empathetic listening, positive attitude, and result-oriented approach that helps drive sales growth.

  11. Provide feedback to Director/VP, Partner Sales regarding holes in the supplier portfolio.

  12. Travel as required to nurture existing relationships with Sales Partners and Suppliers.

  13. Attend company and team meetings, as well as onsite and offsite supplier trainings and events.

  14. Perform other tasks and special projects as required.

 

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE & OTHER MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

The minimum qualifications listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and ability necessary for an individual to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  Reasonable amounts of training are provided. 

  • Work experience and / or knowledge in IP cameras, computer networking

  • Prior technology or physical security sales experience is preferred.

  • Ability to handle and balance a multitude of tasks under short time constraints

  • Thrives in a fast-paced culture of accountability, commitment, and efficiency

  • Experience with indirect channel sales organizations preferred

  • Proficiency in computer usage, internet and Office suite of applications

  • Ability to work within a cooperative team environment as well as perform assignments autonomously

  • Excellent communication, presentation, writing, and editorial abilities.

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Summary:
This position provides technical expertise to internal and external customers in the form of pre- and post-sales technical support (via telephone, e-mail, web and other channels) on specified technologies; tests products; provides or performs demonstrations of equipment or software as needed.


Essential Job Duties:
Answers, evaluates, and prioritizes incoming telephone, voice mail, and e-mail requests for assistance from users seeking information about or experiencing problems with hardware and software from specified technologies
Interviews user to collect information about the problem and leads user through diagnostic procedures to determine source of error.
Determines whether the problem is caused by hardware or software.
Handles problem recognition, research, isolation, resolution and follow-up for routine and complex problems.
Logs and tracks calls using problem management database, and maintains history records and related problem documentation.
Calls software and hardware vendors to request service regarding defective products.
Provides demonstrations of hardware and/or software as needed; installs hardware, software, and peripheral equipment to duplicate customer problems; performs product testing; produces documentation for internal and external use; attends training.
Consults with customers to recommend solutions and/or configuration changes;
Other duties as assigned.
Regular attendance is an essential function of the Technical Support Analyst position. 
This position may require work hours outside normal operating hours.


Reporting Relationships:
Technical Support Analysts receive supervision commensurate with knowledge, experience, and initiative. Supervision may include technical advice, coaching on interpersonal interaction, or instruction in broad policies and quality standards. The goal of supervision is to develop the employee to the point that they require decreasing supervision and are able increasingly to make independent decisions.
The Support Analyst has daily personal contact with co-workers and immediate management; daily phone contact with customers and vendors; occasional contact with executive management.
Requirements:
Willingness to participate in Afterhours Support program
Willingness and Ability to work outside of regular scheduled shift hours.
Customer service experience, both in person and over the phone.
Ability to speak English plainly and to be easily understood over the phone.
Ability to understand spoken English, both technical and colloquial.
Ability to learn quickly.
Experience with IP networks and networking


Preferred:
Experience with communications concepts and technologies
Experience with business data products and services


Physical Requirements:
Ability to sit or stand at a computer terminal for long periods of time.
Ability to be physically in attendance at workstation at designated company office location during normal business hours designated for this position.
Ability to travel 5% of the time.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
