Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled and self-motivated Trailer Integration Technician to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the complete assembly and outfitting of specialized trailer bodies. This includes the installation and integration of a wide range of electronic components. This role requires a high degree of technical aptitude, strong problem-solving skills, and a commitment to quality and safety. The ideal candidate is a proactive individual who thrives in a hands-on environment and can manage their time effectively to meet production goals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform structural assembly of trailer bodies according to blueprints, schematics, and manufacturing orders.
  • Install, wire, and test a variety of low-voltage electronic systems, including but not limited to:
    • Network routers and switches
    • Solar panels and charge controllers
    • IP security cameras
    • GPS tracking devices
    • Inverters and battery systems
    • Other custom electronic components
  • Run and terminate wiring, ensuring all connections are secure, properly insulated, and meet quality standards.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with electrical and electronic systems.
  • Operate telehandlers and forklifts safely and efficiently to move materials and trailer bodies.
  • Maintain accurate records of time, materials, and production progress within the company's ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system.
  • Adhere to all company safety protocols and procedures, maintaining a clean and organized work area.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to optimize workflow and resolve production challenges.

Qualifications and Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent. Technical degree or certification in electronics, mechanics, or a related field is a plus.
  • Proven experience in mechanical assembly, electrical wiring, or a similar hands-on technical role.
  • Strong decision-making skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Proficiency in using hand and power tools.
  • Experience working within an ERP system for time tracking and inventory management is highly desirable.
  • A strong commitment to safety, quality, and attention to detail.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain forklift and telehandler certifications; prior certification is a plus.

Physical Requirements

  • The ability to frequently lift, carry, push, and pull objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and climb for extended periods.
  • The ability to work in various physical positions, including in, on, and under trailers.
  • Visual acuity and manual dexterity to work with small electronic components and detailed wiring.
